From Towbars to Lycra Shorts – Riding Mansfield to Skegness for Marie Curie

On Friday 1st November, the Grantham’s team — Ian, Mitch, and Jamie — are trading in their towbars and steady winders for lycra and bike helmets as they take on a chilly ride from Mansfield to Skegness to raise vital funds for Marie Curie.

This isn’t your average weekend cycle. It’s a long, cold November ride across the heart of Lincolnshire, with nothing but standard road bikes, a handful of energy gels, and just 9½ hours of daylight to reach the coast. It’s less “Tour de France” and more race against sunset — but the team are determined to push through every mile for a cause that truly matters.

Marie Curie provides incredible care and comfort to people living with terminal illness and their families. Their nurses, hospices, and helplines are there at the hardest times, offering compassion and dignity when it’s needed most. And that’s why we’re riding — to help keep that care going for those who need it.

We’d love for you to join us in supporting this meaningful cause. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps Marie Curie continue their life-changing work. Together, we can help make life that little bit brighter for those facing the toughest moments.

👉 Donate here https://shorturl.at/I827G and help us make a real difference.

Let’s ride together — for compassion, care, and community. 💛

Thank you for your support,
Ian, Jamie & Mitch
