Grantham’s are happy to undertake manufacturer warranty work on your behalf…
However it will be necessary to apply a warranty processing administration fee of £80. This fee enables us to solicit your claim with the manufacturer.
The warranty processing administration fee is chargeable for each claim submitted by Grantham’s on your behalf (although each claim can accommodate up to five items of warranty).
This fee is payable at the time of booking your initial appointment and is non-refundable even in the event of your warranty claim being declined.
Prior to contacting Grantham’s, we advise you to check that your Service History has been carried out in line with manufacturer requirements. Failure to have complied with these requirements may have invalidated your warranty and any work undertaken on your behalf will be chargeable.
In the event that your warranty claim is accepted by the Manufacturer, and you request Grantham’s to commence work, any additional time taken due to unforeseen circumstances will in the first instance be discussed with the manufacturer for approval under the terms of the warranty.
Should the manufacturer decline to approve additional time, you will become liable at a rate of £75 per hour.
In all instances Grantham’s will discuss options with you and seek your further approval before incurring additional costs.
If you are unable to fully agree with the terms and conditions of the Grantham’s warranty Policy then please refer to your supplying dealer.
If your Bailey of Bristol Alu-Tech caravan has developed a soft, spongy, or damaged floor, it’s not something to overlook. While the Alu-Tech construction system is well known for its strength and durability in the walls and roof, the floor itself is still built using traditional timber-based materials.
This means that if water ingress occurs and is left untreated, moisture can soak into the floor structure, leading to rot over time and ultimately compromising the structural integrity of the caravan.
Our Bailey floor repair service is designed to restore strength, safety, and comfort—delivering a long-lasting solution without the need for costly or invasive full floor replacements.
With years of experience working on Bailey caravans and being one of the only Bailey back to factory repairers in the country, we understand the materials, methods, and common failure points better than general repair shops. Our focus is simple: Restore your caravan floor to a safe, solid, and long-lasting condition—so you can get back on the road with confidence.
Enjoy peace of mind knowing you’re getting the best value on quality Swift repairs.

The Bailey of Bristol Alu-Tech construction system is widely regarded as one of the best in the industry and for good reason.
At its core, Alu-Tech uses a precision-engineered aluminium framework, where interlocking aluminium rails are bonded together to create a strong, rigid skeleton. This frame is then combined with:
GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) outer panels, GRP inner wall panels and a high-density polystyrene insulation core
This layered, bonded structure creates a body that is:
In short, for the sidewalls and ceiling, Alu-Tech is a fantastic, modern construction method that performs exceptionally well.
While the upper structure benefits from this advanced system, the floor construction is different.
The floor in most Alu-Tech caravans is still built using a timber-based structure (a traditional sandwich floor with wooden elements). This is important because:
Wood is far more vulnerable to moisture than aluminium and GRP
If water ingress occurs anywhere in the caravan, it can travel downwards
Over time, moisture can soak into the floor layers, leading to:
Rot
Delamination
Soft or spongy areas underfoot
Even though the Alu-Tech body helps reduce water ingress risks, it doesn’t make the caravan immune.
If a leak develops—through seals, joints, or fittings—water can still find its way into the structure and eventually reach the floor. Once there:
Look out for:
If you notice any of these, it’s worth getting a professional inspection.
