Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sales Person to join our growing business. Grantham’s (formally Grantham’s Caravans and CaravansUK) operates across two sites and we are looking for a Sales Person who will be motivated to achieve their sales targets and deliver a great customer experience at our Retford branch. We are a main dealer for market-leading leisure vehicles, holding dealership titles for Swift, Coachman, Moto-Trek, Knaus, Weinsberg and Mclouis Fusion.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager and working as part of the Sales team, this is an enjoyable role, chatting with customers about holidays and free time, with an with an opportunity to get the sales buzz from closing deals and achieve your sales target.

Roles & Responsibilities

Day to day job expectations:

  • Meeting customers when they arrive on site.
  • Following up leads and enquiries via the phone and on email.
  • Answering Live Chats and following up via the CRM system.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the site is presentable, and all product labelled correctly.
  • Managing the website – uploading content and details of products and services available for sale.
  • Taking photographs and making videos for the website and for customer enquiries.
  • Updating spreadsheets, CRM and sales software
  • Supporting your colleagues with any aftersales advice or help.
  • Checking in Part exchange vehicles and completing paperwork as part of the handover process.

The Candidate

  • Willingness to talk to and listen to customers at varying stages of the sales process – face to face, on the phone, via email and live video calls.
  • Ability to follow a sales process and record progress of each lead within a CRM system.
  • Ability to work as a team – but also have enough get up and go, so that you can motivate yourself to ensure the team achieve monthly targets
  • Selling touring caravans, motorhomes and any other product or service that Grantham’s have to offer.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office

We offer an attractive package, with a basic starting salary of £20,000 a year, with achievable commission and bonus payments, which are uncapped. Estimated potential earnings for the year are between £30,000 to £50,000, depending on performance.

We are a seven day a week business and your normal working week would be Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, with Wednesdays and Thursdays as your scheduled days off.

There is a requirement to attend national shows twice a year, which does involve working away from home for six days on each occasion.

Our Summer working hours are 8.30am until 5.30pm with half an hour for lunch. Winter hours are 9.00am until 5pm, with half an hour for lunch. ( Sundays are 10am until 4pm, all year round.).
